The Wandoan Solar Farm is a 167MWdc project located in the Western Downs region of Queensland.

The project scope comprised piling, mechanical installation, and PV module installation, incorporating PVH Axone Duo tracker technology and 257,040 RisenRSM132-8-640BMG/665MDG modules across the site.

Tranex Power was engaged by GRS to undertake the full construction package, coordinating simultaneous piling, tracker assembly, and module installation activities. Structured sequencing and disciplined work-front control were critical to maintaining programme alignment and ensuring consistent productivity across the project’s wide footprint.

The scale of the site, combined with material handling and access logistics, required robust planning and efficient mobilisation of labour and equipment. Through streamlined execution and adherence to stringent quality and safety requirements, the installation was delivered to support the farm’s long-term performance and Queensland’s ongoing renewable energy transition.
