The Kerang Solar Farm is a 36MWdc utility -scale project near Kerang, Victoria.
With 53,766 modules installed on single-axis trackers, the project represents a substantial utility-scale installation in the region. Tranex Power delivered the piling and mechanical scope, establishing the foundations and structural infrastructure critical to the project’s successful construction programme.
Tranex Power was engaged by BSR to deliver the piling and mechanical installation scopes on the project. This scope encompassed the installation of driven and mounted pile foundations, precision mechanical assembly of the tracking units, and associated works to prepare the tracking system for module installation by others. The coordinated execution of these scopes was critical in progressing the broader construction programme and maintaining alignment with project milestones.
The project presented logistical and sequencing complexities given the scale of piling and mechanical works required across a large array footprint. Tranex Power’s approach prioritised detailed planning, installation accuracy, and systematic quality assurance to ensure robust mechanical infrastructure and optimal tracking system performance. Safe delivery was supported by proactive risk management and adherence to established safety standards throughout the construction period.
The successful delivery of the piling and mechanical scope at Kerang Solar Farm demonstrates Tranex Power’s capability to execute substantial foundation and civil-mechanical packages on utility-scale solar projects. The outcome reinforces our reputation as a trusted construction partner capable of delivering high-quality works across complex solar developments in regional Victoria and beyond.

Extensive planning was required due to the project being located in a low-lying area, with construction dependent on dry conditions.
Tranex Power accelerated the construction programme, carefully sequencing works to mitigate weather-related risks. Acting as principal contractor and leveraging the strong trust developed with the client, we delivered significant cost savings while maintaining quality and efficiency.
By turning complex site constraints into a streamlined delivery approach, Tranex Power maximised value and ensured the project’s success against challenging conditions.
