Tranex successfully delivered the retrofit BESS at the existing Hay Solar Farm with a high standard of execution, demonstrating both technical capability and project efficiency. The works were carefully planned to integrate the BESS into the operational solar facility without disruption to existing generation, highlighting Tranex’s strong expertise in managing complex retrofit projects.
This achievement now enables our client to participate more fully in the renewable energy market by storing power generated during peak production for dispatch when it is required most - improving grid stability, flexibility, and overall asset value.
The project was delivered under a very aggressive Essential Energy schedule and timeline, requiring precise coordination and disciplined execution across all trades. Despite these challenges, the installation was completed on schedule and to specification, with seamless collaboration across civil, electrical, and commissioning activities.
