The Sunraysia Solar Farm is a 255MWdc project located near Balranald, New South Wales.

The project, built by Tranex Power, is supported by local residents, stakeholders, and the wider community.

Tranex Power was awarded the project by Decmil following our exemplary delivery track record. The project was completed safely and ahead of schedule.

The Sunraysia Solar Farm, developed by Maoneng, comprises more than 755,000 PV modules mounted on 8,737 Nextracker single-axis tracking systems.

The Sunraysia Solar Farm generates approximately 529 GWh of energy per year, which is equivalent to powering up to 50,000 households and offsetting around 430,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.

Proactive Delivery to Mitigate Extreme Weather Conditions

Tranex Power implemented a proactive delivery strategy to mitigate the extreme heat and dust conditions on site. We established mobile crib rooms that moved with the construction teams, ensuring productivity and safe working conditions throughout the build. Our team worked closely with the client in a high-engagement planning model - identifying risks early, sequencing works efficiently, and aligning all stakeholders on daily execution. By applying our proven installation methodologies and quality-assurance processes, we significantly reduced rework and maintained consistent progress despite challenging environmental conditions.
