The JAP Solar Farm is a 3.36MWdc solar project located in the Eucla Basin, South Australia.

The project involved piling, mechanical installation, and PV module installation, deploying Nextracker NX Horizon single-axis trackers and a total of 6,351 JASolar JAM72D30-535/MB modules across the site.

Tranex Power was engaged by Juwi to deliver the complete construction scope. Despite the site’s compact footprint, careful planning and sequencing were essential to manage multiple work fronts efficiently, including piling, tracker assembly, and module mounting. The team implemented structured workflows to optimise productivity, minimise handling times, and maintain alignment with programme milestones.

The installation required detailed coordination of logistics, materials, andon-site crews to ensure smooth progress and avoid delays. Safety and quality management were central to every stage, with robust processes in place to maintain consistent standards across all activities.

The completed JAP Solar Farm now delivers reliable renewable energy to the Eucla region, contributing to South Australia’s clean-energy generation targets. The project highlights the value of efficient execution, disciplined work-front management, and technical precision, even on smaller-scale utility projects, demonstrating how well-planned delivery can achieve high-quality outcomes within tight site parameters.
