The project, built by Tranex Power - Australia’s most trusted power systems provider—is jointly owned by Octopus Investments and Edify Energy, with an approximate capital cost of $450 million. A power purchase agreement has been executed with Delta Electricity for the supply of 150 MW of renewable energy.
Tranex was awarded the project by Signal Energy, following our exemplary delivery track record.
The Darlington Point Solar Farm comprises 1,784 Array Technologies DuraTrack® single-axis trackers supporting approximately 153,000 PV modules.
The Darlington Point Solar Farm will generate approximately 1,400,000 megawatt hours (MWh) of clean, renewable electricity per annum into the national power grid, making a major contribution to Australia’s greenhouse gas reduction targets. This equates to the removal of approximately 380,000 cars from the road or the planting of around 350,000 trees, while producing enough renewable electricity to power approximately 300,000 homes each year.

Tranex Power was engaged mid-project to accelerate delivery and help the client meet a tight deadline. We deployed our fast-build methodologies and streamlined installation processes to recover schedule and maintain momentum across all work fronts. Alongside the construction effort, Tranex Power implemented a structured community-engagement approach to ensure local considerations were respected throughout delivery. Our presence on site was well received, with strong community rapport supported by initiatives such as sponsoring a local sports team. Through this combined technical and community-focused approach, we enabled the client to progress the project efficiently and maintain positive local stakeholder relationships.
