The Wangaratta Solar Farm represents a significant milestone for regional renewable energy infrastructure in Victoria. The 38MWdc facility combines clean energy generation with intelligent land management and local industry support.
The project features 70,000+ solar panels generating approximately 75GWh of renewable energy annually, while avoiding 60,000 tonnes of carbon emissions. Integrated grazing management maximizes productive land use, and the on-site battery storage system supports regional manufacturing and job creation.
