Project Recap - Goorambat East Solar Farm

Tranex Power successfully delivered piling works at the Goorambat East Solar Farm near Benalla, Victoria, providing 5 x new Gayk piling rigs and experienced operators on a wet hire basis.

Our team installed a large number of piles to support Array Technologies Single Axis Trackers across the 259MW utility-scale solar project.

Working through challenging ground conditions and periods of inclement weather, the Tranex team maintained safe and efficient operations, achieving installation rates of more than 3,500 piles per week through effective mobilisation, equipment reliability, and experienced field execution.

The delivery of the piling scope ahead of schedule provided significant value to the project, compared to a fixed-cost piling contract while reducing overall project risk through greater flexibility around installation timeframes.
